Script

We wrote the script together by combining each other's ideas in it. We corrected the script several times due to the adjustment on the scenes and ideas. Finally, we came out with a satisfying one and we will film our trailer according to this script. Still, adjustments can be made during our filming.

Opening

A- girl (Angel), M-mysterious man

A’s room – messy, photos are scattered on the floor.

Camera: Top of room, then cut to A’s moving hand.

A tear photographs of herself that took at young age, use marker pen to black her face out.

Legs of sitting M

M: It’s time to let go of your past.

A stunt when she heard him speak.

Or

----Angel is standing at the top of a building.-----

Camera focusing on the protagonist’s eyes. Wind blow.

A: ( open eyes, blink) ( looking down hopelessly ) ( tears dripping)

A: ( flashback and recall of bad memories: bully scenes)

-----bully scenes ( in a dark alley)------

Camera focusing on the wall, which show the shadow of the protagonist is being bullied.

A: ( screaming, shouting , crying , defending) NO!!

-----after being bullied ( sitting at the corner) -----

Warm lightning. Girl in worn out shabby clothes.

Camera filming the girl's upper part body. Wind blow. Mysterious evening. ( feeling of height is depicted)
A:(prepare to jump) (looking down at the indifferent city) I......Perhaps.......This will be the best way. For everybody else, and for myself..

----man and girl face to face----
M: do I seem human to you?
A: (startled)

----a voice suddenly appear from her side-----

Camera filming the back of the girl. Mysterious man is sitting on the banister beside her facing the camera. Mysterious man is eating a lollipop.

M: ( sucking lollipop) (looking at lollipop) There’re 1000 more better ways to die.

A: (shock) ( turn to look) What?

M: ( giving lollipop to girl) ( look at her ) Like cutting off the veins, suffocating yourself or overdosing.  Crashing with a train is pretty cool, why don’t you give it a try? ( smile)

A: ( shock and speechless)  ( tear traces still lingering on face )

 Camera focus on the girl and the mysterious man face. Girl– shock face, man– smiling. Wind blow.

Journey

-----good deeds------

A grandma is pushing a bicycle full of things going up a hill after returning from the market.

M: ( look at A) oi, go help the popo.

A : (look back at M) I don’t want!

M: (eyes open widely)

A: ok la ok la (raw eyes) (murmuring)

A goes and help. M watching while eating lollipop. (pokerface)

A: (strenuous) Eeeee…. (couldn’t push)

M: (Keep the lollipop and go help)

------ Bicycle moved mysteriously -----

Grandma: waa! Thank you!

A: (Look at grandma’s back, like thinking something)

M: (Look at A and smile, like thinking something)

Camera placed at roadside, filming 3 of them.

----eating scene----
Table full of foods. M sitting with both leg on the chair. A holding fork and spoon looking at him with a confuse look.

A: ( with confuse face looking at M)
M: (glance at her) What? What? WHAT? EAT YOUR FOOD. ( turn back and continue eating)

-----sitting at the hill------

Both of them sitting together in the grass. Chit chatting. Evening.

M: (pointing at the sky) ( turn to look at her) ( smile)

A: (smile to him)

In forest

M lead A to the front of a wilted tree.

M close his eyes, say: can you hear it?

A look at him, don’t understand.

M: The sound of plants glowing, seeds falling and ants walking on the tree trunks.

M use his hands to cover A’s ears, A close her eyes. (Sound effect comes in) A could hear it.

M: Something are cannot be seen, you have to listen.

(There is always somebody who cares about you even though you did not realized)

Chinese Temple

Wide angle of big altar, backside of the praying visitors are seen.

Zoom in to a woman

A woman is carrying her religion ritual. There is a kid following her wherever she goes (lights up incense, pray etc)

The woman is kneeling in front of altar, looking sad praying. The kid is consoling her gently, but woman do not give any response to the kid.

Focus on woman’s face

She is murmuring: Take care of yourself in heaven, find your grandpa and grandma, eat well… Visit mama when you can…

Zoom out, A & M are staring at the woman and kid.

Sins

M narrate: Those are the records of sin they did in life. Children are the purest. The purest happiness is what they forget in growing up.
