This is the first time that four of us come up to form a group and work together. We created a group for movie trailer in WhatsApp for discussion. All of us were looking forward to start this assignment.

Out of all the movie genres given, we preferred horror and thriller at first because we thought that these type of movie might be easier to grab the attention of the audiences. However, we can't come down to an agreement on the storyline easily. So, we decided to wrote down our respective ideas separately and discuss again after that. Four of us came out with different ideas and concepts:
Angel- a thriller about kidnapping
Jia Ern- a fantasy horror about the consequences if what one's dreams had turned to truth
Jolin- a horror about the revenge of devils
Pei Lin- a thriller about stalking
In the middle of discussion, Jia Ern shown us the movie trailer of Amelie, and here we got our inspirations. We came out with another idea, which is the one that we are using now. The trailer shows a lot of beautiful scene filmed from interesting angles, and the filter used for filming is good. So we decided to shoot a trailer showing beautiful landscapes and adventures. We wanted to show the audiences the beauty of life through our movie trailer. All of us were happy with that idea so we had eliminated our ideas before.
We created another online group on Facebook for further discussion.
Lecturer's Advice
Sue Jane looked up to all of our ideas, including those which we had eliminated. However, out of our expectation, she thought that our idea for Her's Secret Walk was quite boring and dull. She suggested that we could use The Christmas Carol's movie trailer as a reference because our storyline is similar in a different way with that movie. After listening from her, we decided to go with our original idea and make some adjustments and improvements.
